We will operate vocational training courses in the evening hours (4 pm and 9 pm), to benefit the youth adults in the community. We will tie up with leading names to provide these courses, as well as with corporates and industry, to ensure placements of students.
We will use an interactive methodology, including group discussions, audio-visual presentations, role plays, exercises, puzzles, team building games, as well as computer content, to engage and stimulate the students. We will also give students the opportunity to engage with eminent guest invitees from the corporate world.
Sujaya is currently exploring partnerships to provide best in class vocational training in the following areas:
During the program there would be ongoing assessments, done both by the student, as well as the faculty, to track whether the learning objectives are met. All these would be shared with students right away, so they can work on their improvement areas.
Our relationship would not stop at just training candidates. We plan to guide students even in career choices and assist them in getting the right placements. We will also inform candidates regarding potential job openings on an on-going basis. We will train them for interviews and participate in seminars and job fairs.
At the Working Women's Centre at Sujaya, women from within the Vaibhava complex will be provided with opportunities to employ themselves gainfully. The Working Women's Centre will focus on 2 areas:
A creche will be operated on the premises of the school between 8:30 am and 6:30 pm. This is to help mothers in the community get back to work, should they chose to do so. The creche also provides for training and employment opportunities for residents of the community. The creche is located on the ground floor and this area is totally secure and secluded from the older children (age 6 and above). Age Groups catered to:
3 months to 15 months in the infant section
15 months to 36 months in the toddler section
At the age of 3, the child is ready to go into Nursery at Sujaya
The experiences infants have during the early months and years of life are crucial to healthy brain development. Personal attention and interaction between our staff and the infant will promote basic cognitive and social skills. Singing, reading and talking are just some of the things that support development during this critical stage. Infants are unique and have their own patterns for play, feeding and sleeping. We use these patterns as a guide to introduce daily activities that will prepare the impressionable infant for life. Our creche offers a nurturing and creative environment for infants to develop their bodies and minds. We are committed to making this first transition away from home easy and natural for both, the parent and the child.
The Toddler program is designed for children in the age group of 15 to 36 months. Playtime, rest, music and movement, stories, art activities, water play, exploration, outdoor fun, besides lots of love, make up the toddler day. All these go a long way in aiding the personal and social growth, language development and independence skills of children. Teachers provide a setting which allows children to be creative and to explore their environment through their senses, by physically moving about and through social interaction with others.
At Sujaya, we believe that around the age of two and a half, the child is ready to explore new environments and form new relationships. The school becomes a home away from home, where learning is encouraged at an individual pace, allowing the child's interests and abilities to become evident and flourish.
The child becomes the member of a small community in a specially prepared environment. Each environment has a vertical grouping of children between the ages of two and a half and six years, where the older children spontaneously share their knowledge with the younger ones. Co-operative social interaction takes place and engenders confidence, respect for others, appreciation of individual differences and joy in helping each other.
Our focus in these years at the school would be on
Children are given a phonetic basis for reading. The child hears the sound, sees the shape and through tracing, trains the muscles needed for writing. He or she is then ready to pursue an interest in words, while cultivating writing skills at an individual pace. Through storytelling, conversation and many other exercises, the child's vocabulary grows. Eventually these preparatory activities culminate in the child’s introduction to writing.

“It is indeed a pleasure to write in support of “VBHC Vaibhava” – if there was one sensible low-cost-no-frills-but-no-corners-cut project for sensible Ordinary Indians then this must be it. I came to know of it through the newspapers and their website. I did indeed make the effort and...
